El sesotho (o sotho/ˈsuːtuː/,[2] sotho meridional o sesotho meridional[3] és una llengua bantu que es parla sobretot a Sud-àfrica (on és una de les onze llengües oficial) i a Lesotho, estat on és la llengua nacional. És una llengua aglutinant que utilitza molts afixs i girs derivacionals i inflexionals per a construir paraules completes. Els basotho són els membres del grup ètnic que parlen el sesotho.
