The 2024 Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council election took place on 2 May 2024 alongside the West Yorkshire mayoral election and other local elections across the United Kingdom.[1]

Prior to the local elections, four Labour councillors resigned from the party in protest of the party's direction and policy regarding the war in Gaza.[2] The four members subsequently formed the Kirklees Community Independents Group,[3] which had no seats up for election this year. With this exception, the council makeup is unchanged following the previous year's elections.

Labour lost control of the council to No overall control.[4]
