B. Patrick Bauer (born May 25, 1944) is an American politician who served as Speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives from 2003 to 2005 and 2007 to 2011. A Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, he has represented the 6th House District since 1970. His district consists primarily of the city of South Bend in St. Joseph County in northern Indiana. On January 28, 2020, Bauer announced that he would not be running for reelection.[2]
