Gath-hepher or Gat Hefer (Hebrew: גַּת הַחֵֽפֶר, romanizedgaṯ hahāp̄ar) was a border town in the Northern Kingdom of Israel around the 8th century BCE. According to the Deuteronomistic history, it was the home of the prophet Jonah.[1]
