Richard Edward Tarrant (born August 6, 1942) is an American businessman and politician. He was the Republican nominee for U.S. Senator from Vermont in 2006, which he lost to U.S. Representative Bernie Sanders. Tarrant and his wife, Deborah, reside in Colchester, Vermont, where he works for his charitable foundation.
