Screamboat is an upcoming American independent comedy horror film directed by Steven LaMorte. It is a horror reimagining of Walt Disney's 1928 animated short film Steamboat Willie, and stars Allison Pittel, Amy Schumacher, Jesse Posey, Jesse Kove, Rumi C Jean-Louis, Jarlath Conroy, and Charles Edwin Powell, with David Howard Thornton as the titular character. It follows the passengers of a late-night ferry ride as they join forces against a murderous Steamboat Willie-like mouse.

While The Walt Disney Company retains exclusive rights to the depictions of the character from their own franchise, Mickey's Steamboat Willie version went into the public domain on January 1, 2024. One day later, the film was announced.[2][3] LaMorte, Thornton, and Schumacher previously worked together on The Mean One (2022), a similar horror retelling of Dr. Seuss' 1957 children's book How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Screamboat is scheduled to be theatrically released in 2025.
