Wenchi Municipal District bi one of de twelve districts in Bono Region wey dey insyd Ghana.^[1] Originally dem created am as an ordinary district assembly for 1988 insyd wen dem known am as Wenchi District, until de western part for de district wey dem split am go create Tain District on 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004); thus de remaining part has been retained as Wenchi District. Ebi later wey dem elevate am to municipal assembly status den dem renamed am as Wenchi Municipal District on 29 February 2008.^[2] De municipality bi located for de northeast part of Bono Region den egey Wenchi as ein capital town.^[3]
