Braintree (US: /ˈbreɪnˌtri/), officially the Town of Braintree, is a suburban New England city in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States.[7] The population was 39,143 at the 2020 census.[6]
Braintree was founded on land first colonized in 1625 by Captain Wollaston, and initially named Mount Wollaston.
