Noocracy (/noʊˈɒkrəsi/) (Nous meaning 'mind" or 'intellect' and Kratos meaning 'power' or 'authority') is an ideal type of government where decisions are delegated to those deemed wisest. The idea is classically advanced, among others, by Plato, al-Farabi and Confucius.
