Basil Anthony Zempilas (Greek: Βασίλειος Αντώνης Ζεμπίλας, romanizedVasílios Antónis Zempílas; born 30 July 1971) is an Australian politician based in Perth, Western Australia. He is a former footballer, television and radio presenter, sports commentator and columnist.

Zempilas was the Lord Mayor of Perth from 2020 until 2025, when he was elected to the Western Australian Legislative Assembly as the Member for Churchlands.

Zempilas presented sport on Seven News Perth[1] Monday to Thursday until 2022. In 2018 he became a co-host of Weekend Sunrise.[2]

He was also a member of the Seven Network's AFL football commentary team.[1] Zempilas has commentated on the Olympics and several other major sporting events.

On radio, he has co-hosted Perth radio station breakfast programs on 92.9, 6PR and Triple M Perth.[3][4]
