Brian George Hewitt, FBA (born 11 November 1949) is an English academic linguist who is Emeritus Professor of Caucasian languages as the School of Oriental and African Studies (Soas), University of London.[1][2] Since 1993, he has been the self-styled "Honorary Consul of the Republic of Abkhazia in Great Britain".[3][4]
