The Volunteer Corps was a military reserve force raised in Great Britain in 1794 during the War of the First Coalition. It was created to carry out internal security duties and resist potential invasions by the French First Republic and its allies. The Volunteer Corps' infantry and artillery units were disbanded in 1813, though its cavalry units continued to exist as the Yeomanry Cavalry.
