Christine "Chris" Cournoyer (/ˈkərnɔɪər/ kur-NOIR; née Gearhart, July 24, 1970)[1][2] is an American politician who has served as the 48th lieutenant governor of Iowa since December 2024,[3] replacing Adam Gregg, who resigned from the role in September 2024.[4] A member of the Republican Party, Cournoyer previously served as an Iowa state senator from the 35th District from 2019 to 2024.[5]
