The expedition to Surat was the failed establishment of a factory at Surat by the Swedish East India Company in April 1760. After being instigated by both English and Dutch authorities, the local Nawab sent native troops and occupied the fortress, holding Christopher Henric Braad and several of his companions captive for 20 days.
