John Gregory Peters MVO (born November 15, 1960) is a retired superintendent of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the current usher of the Black Rod of the Senate of Canada. He was appointed to the position by order of the governor-in-council effective October 1, 2013.[1] He was re-appointed on October 1, 2018 for another 5-year term.[2]
