On July 26, 2015, the Jazeera Palace Hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia was struck by a suicide bomber driving a vehicle packed with explosives.[1][2][3] At least 15 people were killed, including a Chinese People's Armed Police sergeant on guard duty at the Chinese Embassy.[1][4][5] al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack.[1][2]
