Mohammed Thahir Mohammed Laffar is a Sri Lankan lawyer and judge, currently serving as the acting president of the Court of Appeal of Sri Lanka. Appointed as a judge by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, he has held the position since 1 December 2020.[1][2][3][4]
On 2 February 2025, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake appointed Laffar as the acting president of the Court of Appeal,[5][6][7] with his term extended on 17 February 2025.[8][9]
