Munjoy Hill is a neighborhood and prominent geographical feature of Portland, Maine. It is located east of downtown and south of East Deering. In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the neighborhood had a large Irish and Italian American population.[1]

The neighborhood is named for George Munjoy, who settled near the intersection of Mountfort Street and Fore Street.

The neighborhood became known as "Mount Joy" for a period of the early 19th century, before reverting to "Munjoy".[2]
