Wikipedia:Articles with a single source

If you come across an article with only one source, the subject is Mounlikely to be notable enough to merit a standalone article. If the single source is a self-published book or article from an advocacy group or lobby group, the article may qualify for deletion.

Articles with a single source may have potential problems with notability, copyright violations, and original research. These articles may also be constructed like a dictionary entry, or have other verifiability issues. Articles relying on a single source should be tagged with the template {{onesource}} at the top of the article to notify editors of the issue. Due to a high probability of copyright infringement and plagiarism within articles relying on a single source, the one source tag should not be removed until multiple sources are utilized to verify content in the article. Even when there are multiple sources, the one source tag may still be appropriate if an article relies too heavily on a single source.
