These are the instructions explaining, step-by-step, how to nominate and review a good article nomination (GAN) according to the good article criteria so that it may become a good article (GA). Instructions for both the nominator and the reviewer of the article are provided below.
Nominators are familiar with the article's subject and cited sources; nominators must have contributed significantly to the article.[a] Reviewers are impartial, registered users willing to help the Wikipedia community; reviewers must not have contributed significantly to the article.[b] Many of the technical steps for nominators are automated with the GAN-helper user script (how to install), and the GANReviewTool does the same when you review an article.
