Montlouis-sur-Loire (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃lwi syʁ lwaʁ] , literally Montlouis on Loire) is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France.
It was mentioned in the 6th century as vicus montis Laudiacensis by Gregory of Tours.[3]
